International Bodrum Dance Festival – The event
It has been an intense week of work, passion, joy and entertainment for the world of dance in Bodrum, and it still has to finish. After days of workshops, conferences and rehearsals at Isis Hotel in Gümbet, last night was finally exhibition time as the 20th edition of International Bodrum Dance Festival took place in the city’s Harbour Square.
Between 6pm and 9pm, in fact, 32 different groups from all over Turkey and from abroad joined and performed on the stage, offering the 1500 people audience an awesome show. 13 in total the countries represented: Mongolia, Ghana, Armenia, Georgia, Slovakia, Italy, Latvia, Belarus, Russia, Hungary, Portugal, Spain and – of course – Turkey.
“The 20th edition is a wonderful goal, but we will never stop” Said Fatih Özvezneci, president and founder of Bodrum Dance Club “Our excitement grows more and more every year, since many people support us and many people appreciate our efforts: they give us the motivation to keep working and constantly improving”.
During the event Bodrum Youth group has been active off and on stage, helping with the organising activities and performing as well. This group of international volunteers and youth workers has been specially mentioned by the Mayor in the opening speech “Thank you very much and welcome to Bodrum”.
Today Bodrum Dance Festival finishes with dancing competition at Herodotus Cultural Center, completing a wide-ranging and intense 5-days programme. “We made it, despite all the challenges and difficulties that occurred – concluded Fatih Özvezneci – it’s amazing to see so many young and passionate people coming here and joining the event. I want to thank them all.”
Uluslararası Bodrum Dans Festivali – Etkinlik
Bodrum’da dans dünyası icin yoğun, tutkulu, neşeli ve bir o kadar da eğlenceli bir çalışma haftasıydı ve aslında bu yoğunluk hala da devam etmekte. Gümbet’teki İsis Otel’de düzenlenen tüm atölye çalışmaları, konferanslar ve provaların ardından, kentin Iskele Meydanı 20.kez Uluslararası Bodrum Dans Festivali’ne ev sahipliği yaptı.
Akşam 18.00-21.00 saatleri arasında, 1500‘ün üzerinde genis bir izleyici kitlesine sunulan harika gösterilerde yer alan 32 grup hem Türkiye‘nin farklı sehirlerinden hem de dünyanın 13 farklı ülkesinden bu festival icin geldiler. Sahnede; Moğolistan, Gana, Ermenistan, Gürcistan, Slovakya, İtalya, Letonya, Belarus, Rusya, Macaristan, Portekiz, İspanya ve tabii ki Türkiye temsil edildi.
Bodrum Dans Kulübü Kurucusu ve Başkanı Fatih Özvezneci, festival başlamadan önce yaptığı acıklamalarda şunları söyledi; “20. kez bu etkinliğin gercekleşiyor olması harika ve bizler böyle etkinlikler yapmayı asla bırakmayacağız. Heyecanımız her geçen gün daha da artıyor, çünkü birçok insan bizi destekliyor ve çabalarımızı takdir ediyorlar. Tüm bunlar bize daha fazla calışma isteği ve kendimizi geliştirme motivasyonu veriyor.”dedi.
Etkinlik boyunca aktif bir sekilde calışan Bodrum Youth–Bodrum Gençlik– grubu hem organizasyon aktivitelerine yardımcı oldu hem de farklı gosterilerle sahnede yer aldı. Uluslararası gönüllüler ve gençlik çalışanlarından oluşan bu grup, Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras tarafından yapılan açılış konuşmasında “Hepinize cok teşekkür ederiz ve hepiniz Bodrum’a hoş geldiniz!” diye özel olarak anıldı.
Bodrum Dans Festivali, bugün(12.05.2019) Herodot Kültür Merkezi’nde düzenlenen dans yarışması ile son derece geniş kapsamlı olan bu 5 günlük programını tamamlıyor. Fatih Özvezneci; “Yaşanılan tüm zorluklara ve meydan okumalara rağmen hepbirlikte bunu başardık. Buraya gelen ve etkinliğe katılan çok sayıda genç ve tutkulu insanı görmek harika, hepsine ayrı ayrı teşekkür etmek istiyorum. ” dedi.
